Honouring intentions of existing members working toward Associate/Full or Professional membership
Existing members at the time of the SGM 2 March 2021, who are actively working towards Associate or Professional Membership can apply for Professional or Full/Associate membership using the criteria of the old system. Professional
Professional membership is for experienced practitioners who hold a Level 6 career specific qualification and have worked in the industry for 3 of the last 5 years, and who wish to be recognised at this level of expertise.
To ensure the smooth processing of your application, please note that we require the following forms to be completed and supplied. Please email documents to info@cdanz.org.nz. On receipt of your application an invoice will be emailed to you.
- Application Form - Professional Membership
- Professional Development Annual Record
- A copy of your Criminal Records Check dated no later than 3 months prior to the date you lodge your application. The process to obtain your Criminal Records Check is free but can take up to 20 days
- A Curriculum Vitae containing details of your relevant Career Practice and your employment history including dates - Click here for guidelines
- Two written references, which are to be sent directly to CDANZ - Click here for Referee Guidelines & Referee Form
A verified scanned copy of your Careers Specific qualification. (Professional Membership only). Please note: This qualification must be, at a minimum, a level 6 qualification. Click here for a list of current qualifications which meet CDANZ criteria. (For qualifications not listed, please contact CDANZ before you submit your application to check that it meets the criteria.)
*Note: A verified copy is where you photocopy the original qualification and take the original and the copy to a JP or a lawyer for the copy to be certified as a true copy. Please email the scanned copy with the JP or lawyer signature. Keep the original on file for possible later verification.
- Fee: $275.00 +GST Professional Annual Subscription
- Application fee: $50.00 +GST (Total $325.00 +GST)
Full was Associate
Full/Associate membership is for those who are currently working in the industry and have been working in the industry for at least 1 year in the last 3 years. They may or may not have a tertiary level qualification and may have commenced study towards a recognised career specific qualification NZQA Level 6 or above.
