Matariki is traditionally a time for Māori to acknowledge those who had passed on and to release their spirits to become stars. It is also a time to reflect, to be thankful to the gods for the harvest, to feast and to share the bounty of the harvest with whānau and friends.
Matariki presents an opportunity for our CDANZ community to come together for Kōrero and Kai around the fireside (virtually!) reflecting on the year that’s been, acknowledge our achievements (in work, whanau and community) and looking forward into the future.
CDANZ is hosting an event facilitated by Denise, Hana and Serena from NEC to celebrate this important time of story-telling, resource sharing and kōrero and to reflect on how Matariki may influence, or guide us in introducing new ideas into our practice.
Nau Mai, Haere Mai whanau. Bring a hot drink and some of your favourite kai to our virtual kōrero by the Fire
